Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch and first look video

Just a small news item about Google launching its new flagships, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which look pretty tasty, at £599 and £849 (inc VAT) in the Uk. Highlights include a very large main camera sensor (1/1.3") and a 4x periscope telephoto on the 'Pro'. Lots of details will have to wait for a hands-on to really test, of course. In theory, review handsets are on the way, so watch this space.

So certainly a step up for Google's Pixels, not least in imaging. Which is about time, since 2020's offerings were so lack-lustre in this department. Obviously, I'll put everything through its paces when the devices arrive for real.

NB. The weights are official. Goodness knows how the extra camera, size and battery equate to only 3g difference. So I think this is a mistake in Google's published specs. Ho hum.
